Andrew retired in 2008 after a career teaching Geography and Urban Studies at Ball State, an assignment at the U K Scottish Office on urban policy and retail consulting for the U S Small Business Administration.
Working first in watercolor and later in oils and pastels, to create paintings that have some artistic merit has been a lifelong goal. In the past 15+ years Slack has taken watercolor, pastel, portrait, and anatomy drawing classes, first at the Indianapolis Art Center and then at the Carmel Art Education Studio.
